Show Me: An Easy DIY Halloween Welcome

Posted on

Is your bare door scaring the neighbors away? Let us help you conjure up a welcoming 1st impression for Halloween, and it is frightfully simple!

Follow these few simple steps to the perfect Halloween door decor, and the neighbors will be screaming in delight!

Show Me Decorating Tip: Choose a theme and color story to narrow your choices

"Whimsical witches" will be the theme, and traditional orange, black and white with a pop of purple and lime green will be the color story!

Step 1: Pick out a base, a teardrop, here.

Faux greenery is a perfect choice and can be used year after year.

Step 2: Choose a purple broomstick and your door will take flight for the "Witchy" Halloween theme. Get it here.

Attach with wire and the faux greenery branches.

Step 3: Add a garland and floral picks. Always add the garland first, then add the small picks (below picture). Click here to get this fun black and silver berry garland.

Nothing says Halloween like candy corn! Add sprays entwining in teardrop greenery. Click here to get them!

Step 4: Add a bewitching sign like "If the shoes fit, wear them."

Step 5: Finish out with the ribbon. Don't be afraid to mix colors and patterns! It's supposed to be fun! Use the black and white polka dot as the base, the chevron adds the sparkle, and the orange ribbon gives the pop of color!

Learn to tie a bow with the ShowMeDecorating app!

Sparkle picks of lime green, orange and purple add whimsy and fun!

And what witch (I mean) girl doesn't like shoes???

This is the CUTEST Halloween door décor I have ever seen. I could never make this myself. I would LOVE to win this and I would happily display this on my front door for years to come. I know that my little “spooks” would really enjoy seeing this when they come for their treats.
